A NIGHT ON WAIHEKE
8th - 9th February 2019
Welcome to our first blog post! Yay! We hope you enjoy!
We spent a night on the beautiful island of Waiheke! Located 45 minutes on the ferry, East from Auckland City, we ventured over to enjoy a peaceful night away!
We stayed in the only hostel on the island in Onetangi which had one of the most beautiful beaches.
We spent the majority of our time lounging on the beach, enjoying the beautiful surroundings. On the second day however the weather was not on our side and it was rather cloudy and windy. Not ideal! But we were still living our best life!
Even cooked our first ever hostel dinner and breakfast...
(may not have been the healthiest but HELLO travelling budget!)
On to the most important part of the trip... WINE TASTING!
Located 20 minutes walk from the hostel, we went to Obsidian Vineyard and tried a variety of their local produce. Starting off with their Estate Rosé then Chardonnay and finishing off with two reds, one being very fruity and the other oaky. We had such a good time, almost too good of a time as we were swaying slightly by the time we came out haha!
Now onto the next adventure...
