AO NANG, KRABI
2nd - 5th May 2019

Back to Krabi we went, although to Ao Nang Beach instead, where we stayed in a lovely hostel called K-Bunk. This was one of those greeaaattttt hostels that have their own curtains. We thought it was going to be an amazing few nights (spoiler: the beds were so uncomfortable and it was so hot). They even had a beautiful resident dog called Luna, pure white, who was found on the side of the road.
We didn’t do much the first day we arrived from Koh Lanta except met up with the three English guys from Aylesbury that we met in Koh Phi Phi and we ended up going for some drinks and spending the evening with them.
We walked down to the beach which took about 25 minutes and enjoyed the sunset, taking advantage of golden hour again!
Megan and I ended up both getting on the back of one of their bikes to get back to the hostel - sorry Mum! But it was only less than a 5 minute journey!

At 8am the following morning we left to begin our boat trip “The Four Islands” off of the coast of Krabi. They squeezed us all into the back of a pickup with a load of Chinese tourists. I nearly had heart failure thinking they would be on the same boat as us... but luckily not! I don’t think they could have possibly fit in anymore people...
Megan’s face says it all, haha!
The boat trip was amazing, we went to four different islands and saw some beautiful beaches, went snorkelling and enjoyed the warm water to swim around in.
In our group of 5, we managed to lose 2 snorkels and a mask but luckily got away with it without being charged (I was not one of them but Megan was, haha)!
We spent the evening up on a terrace playing cards, chatting and having a few drinks. A chilled night from the busy day in the sun!

We woke up at 10am! 10am again! Crazy! We started off the morning well with a big full English breakfast. They offered it at the hostel so couldn’t really say no could we!

Megan, the guys and I then played UNO for ages (we were very excited to find this in our hostel) and then we walked down to the beach.
I had the most amazing Oreo and chocolate rolled ice cream which I had never seen before. Across Thailand we had seen these stalls that made and sold rolled ice cream so it would have been rude for me to have not tired some at all. It was delicious! And a lot of hard work, I’m not sure I could do it!
Curtesy of Mumma D for Megan’s birthday treat, Megan and I treated ourselves to some mojitos in a bar whilst the guys watched football and ended up getting a little bit pissed from them... whoops! We also beat the guys at beer pong (done with water of course) which was very embarrassing for them!
We spent the evening in the Netflix room of our hostel after I managed to kick out some girls who were just sat there aimlessly flicking through programmes. So we spent the evening watching the movie ‘Seven’. Spooky!
I didn't actually take as many photos on this stint in Krabi, as we were mainly going out drinking (haha) and spending time with the guys we met from Koh Phi Phi, but more interesting photos to come in the next post: Koh Tao!
